NATIONAL PARKS BOARD

FESTIVAL OF BIODIVERSITY

The Festival of Biodiversity is an annual event organised by the National Parks Board (NParks) to educate and enthuse the general public to be more proactive in conserving our natural heritage. Our concept for the 2015’s edition celebrated Singapore’s 50 years of biodiversity through the articulation of our key message; progress, sustainability and growth.

Focusing on biodiversity as a significant part of Singapore’s progress and showcasing Singapore’s achievements over the past five decade with the discoveries of new species, new initiatives and how we have developed into a leading garden city that future generations can enjoy.

The event space was divided into three key sections – Heart of Singapore, Our Garden City and Beyond the Shores. Each section represented a different journey through Singapore’s landscape and highlighted the diversity that exists on our island.

Held over two days, the festival was launched by Mr Desmond Lee, Minister of State for National Development at VivoCity and attracted over 30,000 visitors.
